With the colder weather, the movement of birds south should begin to pick up in ernest. To lament the passing of the breeding season, I have included a video below of an American Goldfinch that was on territory in the old apple orchard at Ritter Farm Park in Lakeville, MN. It was one of the first things I recorded with my new video camera so please excuse the quality (or lack thereof) as I experience a steep learning curve. I will get better. Really...

Don't forget, I will be banding at Ritter on Saturday, Sept. 6th from 9 am until noon. Should be a good day.
