Just a quick update to let everyone know that last night's Birds and Beers at Merlin's Rest was both well attended and a roaring good time. If you live in the cities and have never had the pleasure of watching birders spiral into the dark side of birding due to demon rum you should consider joining us next time we meet. Last night Birdchick even brought door prizes! Seriously though, it is such a good way to connect with a truly wonderful group of people. I've always found birders to be a very welcoming and friendly group who will go out of their way to help a fellow birder. I feel very fortunate to have the chance to hang out with everyone once a month (and the fish and chips is pretty good too!).
Now sit down with your calendar and start planning on which Christmas Bird Count you're going to volunteer for. The more eyes in the field the more great stuff that will be reported.
