What you don't see

So let's be honest. We all have LOTS more pictures that don't look very good than those that look great. At least with digital cameras we're not spending tons of cash on rolls of film. Well, today, in spite of the wind and cool temperatures we had a pretty good morning of banding at Ritter Farm Park in Lakeville, MN. We handled 15 birds of 10 species and there was a lot more around that we didn't catch. If the wind had been below hurricane force we might have done even better.
Below are 3 photos of birds we caught this morning that just would not cooperate with the camera. See if you can ID them. I'll put the good photos (yes, I did get a few) up tomorrow so you can see if you were right.

This one might be the toughest.


The biggest clue is in the upper left of the photo.

While we were banding we got word of a Mississippi Kite being seen along the Minnesota River in Bloomington. Decided not to chase it but would have loved to have seen it. Tomorrow it's back to Wisconsin for banding and we have high hopes for a wonderful day.
