Mild Weather in the Upper Midwest

The last couple of days have been really gorgeous here. We're in an inversion and in spite of the lousy air quality and clouds the landscape has taken on an almost magical look. All the vegetation is covered in a layer of hoar frost. The pines look fuzzy and every cold surface is white. Some people don't like winter and cold but I can't imagine living somewhere that it doesn't snow.
